Surveyors and Land Development

The surveyor's role has always been to create and locate boundaries and to collect data related thereto for the orderly development of land and it's resources. To this end Annis, O'Sullivan, Vollebekk Ltd. makes use of state of the art technology combined with experienced staff to provide cost effective solutions for the economic development of all land related activities.

The Purpose of Land Surveys

Surveys are performed for the following reasons:

  • to obtain the information necessary to describe the boundaries of a parcel of land such as the location of fences, occupation, natural features or survey monuments;

  • to re-establish the boundaries of a parcel previously defined by a survey or a legal description;

  • to subdivide a parcel into two or more parts;

  • to establish the location of structures and features on a parcel with respect to its boundaries;

  • to illustrate the location of easements, utility corridors and rights of way; and

  • to provide topographical detail for development applications.
