History

Annis, O'Sullivan, Vollebekk Ltd., Surveyors, founded in 1964, is a professional land surveying firm offering clients a full range of services in cadastral, geodetic, engineering, construction,  photogrammetric surveys and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Quality of Service

As in any other professional work, the quality of service in surveying is largely dependent upon the calibre of personnel. 

Our experience is based on 35 years of proven capability in all areas of surveying, enabling us to develop a strong nucleus of knowledgeable and seasoned staff. Our firm is dedicated to the continued upgrading of professional competence and maintenance of high surveying standards. Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology was acquired in the mid 1990's and has become an integral tool in providing cost-effective surveying for our clients.

Permanent Staff

The staff of Annis, O'Sullivan, Vollebekk Ltd. includes 5 Ontario Land Surveyors, 35 Survey Technologists & Technicians and 10 Administrative & Support personnel.

Recent Projects

Using a combination of GPS and total station technology, we have completed several large survey projects, including:

  • Digital Terrain Modelling (DTM) survey of airport land on an island in the Caribbean; 

  • the layout of several 18-hole golf courses, storm retention ponds and golf course subdivision surveys;

  • the survey of over 40km of railway track at CNR's Walkley Marshalling Yards in south Ottawa; in addition we surveyed many portions of CNR's Alexandria line between Ottawa and the Quebec border;

  • communication tower surveys for cellular phone companies throughout the Ottawa Valley; these included site boundary surveys and the provision of geodetic co-ordinates on the tower sites;

  • surveys on Indian reservations in the James Bay area, including lagoon surveys and subdivision surveys; and

  • the digital mapping of numerous areas of the province since the early 1990's for the Land Registry Offices (POLARIS program).
